Can You Perform The Trick™?

I've always enjoyed more than just speedrunning GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, especially as my records have become so optimized. As they say, PD is GOATED when you're not speedrunning it, and I still like to find interesting glitches or create my own challenges to keep the games refreshing. Inspired by one of my favourite sites back in the early 00s, I've curated a list of challenges for both games. They vary in skillsets required, for example, some are more attuned to hardcore speedrunning while others are more puzzle-based or "casual-hard," such as License To Kill with a twist. I'll try to update this list as I come up with more challenges! Note that I haven't successfully executed every trick in these tables; the indicates I've performed the trick myself.

"Depot Body Armor Challenge" Date Created: Monday, March 27, 2023 Can you get all 12 Body Armors on Depot Agent and then exit the level in less than 2 minutes?! The fastest submission I've received is 2:02, but I have failed a few sub 2:00s where I missed only one BA. Sub 2 minutes does require clever routing to eke out the final few seconds! "Paintbrush of Doom%" Date Created: Sunday, April 13, 2025 Beat Dam Agent under 1m00s getting the "Paintbrush of Doom." If you're unfamiliar with this trick, this video does a good job explaining how to do it. Obviously you switch back to PP7 for the lockshot, but for it to count the Weapon of Choice must be Unnarmed! Here's a video of my 0:59.
"The Man Without The Golden Gun" Date Created: Sunday, April 22, 2023 Complete Egyptian Agent in less than 1:00 without using the Golden Gun. I got multiple 1:00s on Agent from 2008, and 1:12 and 1:13 on Secret Agent and 00 Agent respectively. Those are probably beatable with a now-known technique to consistently get Frozen Barons, but it is tight!

"Silent Marksman" Date Created: Saturday, May 10, 2025 Complete Dam on 00 Agent only using the Sniper Rifle to shoot. The real challenge might begin when you look at your initial Sniper ammo...
"Bogstandard Bunch" Date Created: Saturday, July 19, 2025 Achieve Dam Agent 0:53, Bunker 1 Agent 0:17, Runway Agent 0:22, and Archives Agent 0:16.
"Silent Escape" Date Created: Saturday, July 19, 2025 Complete Archives Agent without firing a bullet nor having a guard fire a single bullet.

"Triple Drone Shots" Date Created: 15 June 2006 Fun little challenge... there's a corridor with 3 drones just before the third Baron. Can you destroy all three in a row while strafing? It'll require doing some funky flickshots!
"Consecutive Light Shots" Date Created: 15 June 2006 Similar to the challenge above, there's a bunch of "lights" in the tunnel at the start of Dam. Can you shoot every light in a row, without missing a single one?
"Pacifist Pilot" Date Created: Monday, May 19, 2025 Complete Bunker 2 (on all difficulties) with 0 kills.
"Chaos Management" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Complete Facility Agent in 1:00 or lower with over 30 kills.
"0:22" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Can you get Runway Agent 0:22 with 1.2 *and* lookdown nades only? I played with the timer ROM and came surprisingly close a few times, with 23.08 being my quickest run, but never quite made it.
"The Man With The Golden Gun" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Complete Facility DLTK with the Golden Gun and Fast Animation cheat. No weapon other than the Golden Gun must be used.
"The True Depot BA Challenge" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Without using 2.x, and without using the warp trick, get Depot Agent 0:26 collecting the Body Armor at the end. Here's a vid of my 0:26!

"Cloaking Cadet" Date Created: Sunday, April 22, 2023 Complete the Cloaking Device gadget training challenge in under 27.5 seconds. This obviously should be done without using the "pause to reset timer" exploit that's well-known with the Gadget Training and the Holoroom challenges. "Area 51k" Date Created: Saturday, June 21, 2025 Have Elvis run a lap around Crash Site, from his UFO, across the bridge, around the level and back to his saucer. Note there's a simple trick to get him to follow you, but the real challenge is in having him actually run so far without getting close enough to where he does give you the mine and then walks away!

To start the challenge, head to the autogun corridors immediately, either using the out-of-bounds clip near the hologram room, or by walking down from the starting location. Once there, punch Carrington so that the guards start focusing on you. Then, go inside the autogun corridors. You CANNOT walk out of those corridors and move to safety. You start on Defection and end on Skedar Ruins; You can take hits in any way possible, but the final hit before death must be not be from a guard or autogun, i.e., it must be a suicide; Timing begins once you press 'START' on Defection Agent and ends once the death animation/sound plays on Skedar Ruins. If you're looking for a speedrun challenge, complete this in 0m26s. If you're looking for a difficulty challenge, try it on Perfect Agent!

"Infantry In The Institute" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Find a way to ride the hoverbike in the autogun corridors of the Institute (not the level, just the map you can walk around outside of the menu). This is a very cool trick. You can also exploit it to fall out of bounds, as you can sort of tell in the right picture.
"Detour" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Complete WAR! Agent using the alternative beginning strategy (through the stairs). See how fast you can go! Bronze: 0m40s Silver: 0m35s Gold: 0m30s Platinum: 0m27s Here's a of my 0:27. 0:26 is doable, but probably as good as 0:24 with the standard WR strategy.
"On A Shield Hunt" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Complete a RTA run obtaining 7 shields across any levels in 2m00s real-time or lower. Use a timing tool like WSplit to time your runs.
"Invincible" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Complete Agent RTA (Defection to Skedar Ruins) without taking any damage.
"Trouble At The Docks" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 On Villa Agent, save the negotiator from the left side of the pier. On Villa Agent, save the negotiator by killing the two hostage takers with the Devastator.
"Say Cheese" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Land in the cheese room on Defection Agent. From there, try to directly land in the elevator to complete the level!
"Ruthless Traitor" Date Created: Monday, February 27, 2023 On Villa Agent (or Special Agent), get your gun out, kill the negoitator and then quit out, all in 1 second!
"G5 PI Day Challenge" Date Created: Monday, February 27, 2023 Complete G5 Building on Perfect Dark mode with objectives done in the following order: 3, 1, 4, and then 2. Then exit the level.
"In & Out" Date Created: Monday, February 27, 2023 On Attack Ship Special Agent, destroy the sabotage engine systems and then make it back through the same door you entered from, WITHOUT reopening it. Here's a video to show what I mean.
"Backwards Infiltration Agent Completion" Date Created: Monday, February 27, 2023 Complete Infiltration Agent by going through the "Rescue" area of the level from the hangar. Here's a video of Icy's execution of the trick.
"Rocket Run" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Complete Agent RTA with the Enemy Rockets cheat. Far more chaotic than you'd think!

"Mateful Maian Savior" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 The idea here is to "roleplay" as a Maian trying to save Elvis, instead of having Jo do it. Turn on the Play as Elvis and Phoenix cheats. Then, using only the Phoenix, Complete both Infiltration and Rescue Perfect Agent in a row without dying. To make the challenge more interesting, you are only allowed to use the primary function of the Phoenix to fire. Try beating both levels without pausing or using any out-of-bound glitches!

"Skedar Shootout" Date Created: Wednesday, March 1, 2023 Complete WAR! on Perfect Agent, killing every single Skedar that spawns (there's about 50-60 that spawn for each King). You'll be able to tell when all Skedars for a dead by seeing what your Maian allies do. Once they start to attack the King, you know you've cleared every Skedar for that "phase." In all, your kill total should be around 170. Here are the numbers from my run:

"Surprise! (Part 2)" Date Created: Wednesday, March 1, 2023 On Air Force One (any difficulty), "land" in the President's Room without entering any of the doors that lead to his room.
"Defection PA (No Backtracking Edition)" Date Created: Wednesday, February 15, 2025 There are many out-of-bound clips and corridors on Defection. Can you leverage these to complete Defection Perfect Agent without backtracking? That is, if you enter a room, you cannot exit or re-enter this room; you can only cross it once. If you move along a corridor, you cannot go back along it. If you clip from a certain spot, you cannot clip from that spot again, nor can you use the clip to land in a spot you've already been to before. You can use a lift multiple times, but it cannot be accessed from the same location twice, nor can it be used to access a location that you have already crossed. For example, you cannot use a lift to get from Floor 2 to 3 and then to 4 if you have already used the same lift to go from Floor 3 to Floor 4.

"Truly Invincible" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Complete Perfect Agent RTA (Defection to Skedar Ruins) without taking any damage. I say "Impossible" here yet I've done this challenge before. ;)
"On A Cheese Hunt" Date Created: Saturday, April 12, 2025 Shoot the cheese on every single level, without using any cheats!
"Infiltration X" Date Created: Wednesday, March 1, 2023 Finish Infiltration on Perfect Agent, with the following constraints: The level must end with 0.0% accuracy. You cannot pass through the minefield. Objectives must be done in the order they are listed in the pause menu (i.e., 1, 2, 3, 4, and then 5)
"Super Skilled Strafer" Date Created: Sunday, March 12, 2023 tl;dr is doing the WR strategy at the start on Air Force One Special Agent. Activate the kitchen dumbwaiter (i.e., mini lift) at the beginning of Air Force One (Special Agent or Perfect Agent), then obtain the suitcase (i.e., complete objective 1) and make it back into the same lift during the same cycle without using a combat boost. This challenge is something I did on my Special Agent 1:16 record. Funnily enough, the goal was simply to see if the challenge was possible and then just quit out. Of course, once I actually MADE it inside the lift I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to actually try for an untied, since the strategy is around 2 seconds faster than the (now old) WR method.
